Our Open House was a success! We picked up several new members. Thanks to all who came out to the club for the day and those who brought a potential member! Please continue to recruit new members for our club. A list of our paid membership will be posted soon.

Opening Dance

Perry Golf & Country Club will be holding the season opening party and dance on Saturday, April 19^th. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with social hour serving appetizers and drink specials. This year’s featured band is Becker. They are an 80’s & 90’s Rock band and play at venues in Des Moines. The music will start at 8:00 p.m. and wrap up at 12:00 a.m. Tickets may be purchased in advance from any board member or at the clubhouse. The cost is $10 per person. The purchase of an advanced ticket will include one free well drink and you will be eligible for a raffle drawing held during the dance. Everyone attending the opening event will have a chance to purchase tickets for the 50/50 raffle to win a cash prize! We hope everyone will come out, bring your friends and enjoy an evening of fun!

Upcoming Tournament

Don’t forget to sign up for the Four Person 8” Cup Tournament. The event will be held Sunday, April 20^th with an 11:00 shotgun start. Cost is $120 per team. Please stop in the clubhouse or call

465-3852 to register your group. This tournament always fills up fast so be sure to call soon!

Golf Leagues begin soon

Women’s league will host a dinner May 14^th to kick off the season with golf league starting on May 21^st. To participate in Wednesday night regular league contact Lori Gilroy at 465-5852 or email to BLGilroy@yahoo.com. All Wednesday night fun league players should contact Bobbi Lutmer at

465-4943 or email to BJLutmer@yahoo.com to sign up! Tuesday mornings will host ladies golf at

9:00 a.m. No partners needed, just come and play with the other lady golfers of the club.

The Men’s league meeting will be held April 29^th. If you wish to play in men’s golf league please contact Sean Iben for Tuesday night league by emailing to tuesdaygolf@hotmail.com. For the Thursday night league golfers please call Bob Gilroy at 465-5852 to reserve your spot. They are also looking for subs during league. If you are interested in being on this list please contact Sean or Bob. Tuesday Night league will start May 13^th and Thursday night league will start May 15^th. Remember your dues must be paid in full before the first night of league to participate and earn points.

Thanks All Around

Gene Sturtz donated a microwave to the Club. Dave Townsend, Allen Mohrfeld & Ron Reitz helped put the finishing touches on the men’s bathroom project. Fundraising is underway to upgrade the women’s bathroom. Thanks to Cindy Sohn & Kathy Holmes for their donation towards this project.

Kitchen Klatter

Deb & Tammy are going to feature Daily Specials at the Club to be served from 11:30 a.m. to

7:30 p.m. Friday Night Dining will be served every Friday starting April 4^th from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Homemade pizzas available for dine in or carry out every day! A children’s menu will also be offered.

Every Friday night sit back and have the staff grill your choice of 8 oz. Ribeye, 6 oz. Top Sirloin, Iowa Pork Chop or Chicken Breast. Seasoned and cooked to perfection. Served with salad bar, baked potato, grilled Texas toast and vegetable of the day. Add a side of seasoned buttery mushrooms or half orders of pasta or shrimp.
