Perry Golf & Country Club hosted its first-ever Member/Guest Golf Tournament on July 18-19, drawing 30 member-and-guest teams for a weekend of competitive golf, sweltering heat, and a lively Saturday-night Calcutta Shootout.
Temperatures soared into the upper 90s across both days, testing the stamina of players as much as their scorecards. Despite the heat, the two-player teams battled through 36 holes of individual Quota (Modified Stableford) play, with team scores combined across Saturday and Sunday to determine flight champions.
The 30 teams were split into three flights — the Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, and Gary Player flights — with ten teams competing in each.

Saturday Night: The Calcutta Shootout
Saturday evening brought the tournament’s signature event — a Calcutta auction followed by a head-to-head Shootout among the field’s top 10 scoring members and top 10 scoring guests, capped off with a club dinner. When the dust settled, the Shootout came down to the tournament’s top two teams from earlier in the day:
