John Erickson and Adam Snowgren defeated Vince and Aaron Sturm for the 2026 Men’s League Championship on Sunday, August 16th. It was a warm and very humid day on a rain-soaked golf course.
The two teams were tied after 9 holes of regulation, forcing extra play. Erickson and Snowgren ultimately won by 2 strokes in a three-hole playoff.
The father-and-son duo of Vince and Aaron Sturm had jumped out to a commanding 9-stroke lead over the brothers-in-law, Erickson and Snowgren, after just the first 3 holes of regulation play. But the gap closed steadily over the remaining holes, and both teams missed putts on #9 that would have avoided the playoff altogether — sending the match into overtime instead.
Earlier Action
Earlier in the day, the Sturms defeated Justin Chapman and Matt McDevitt by a score of 4, while Erickson and Snowgren defeated Clark Wicks and Steve Vallines, also by 4, to set up the championship showdown.
