Perry Golf & Country Club celebrated a milestone this month with its inaugural Junior Golf Tournament, marking an exciting new chapter for a junior golf program that has been growing for two years.
The tournament is the culmination of a vision that began with Steve Wilkening, who launched junior golf clinics at the club last year to introduce young players to the game. Now in the clinic’s second year, the program reached a new milestone as the club hosted its first-ever tournament for its junior golfers.
Twenty-five boys and girls teed it up for the 9-hole event, filling the course with energy and enthusiasm. Conditions couldn’t have been better, as fantastic weather set the stage for a fun and memorable day on the course.

All the girls in the field also participated and should be proud of their efforts on the course: Lily Anderson, Riley Halling, Sophia Wilkening, Madelyn Wilkening, Lydia Bell, Bennet Mertz, and Collins Brelsford.
Celebrating a Great Day
After the final putts dropped, players and families gathered to celebrate with pizza and ice cream, capping off a fantastic day of junior golf.
